Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
drobe ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account and using drobe, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address: drobe requires an account to use the App. When you sign up with email, or with Sign in with Apple or Google, we collect your email address to create and secure your account.
- Authentication data: Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password in plain text.
Content You Provide
- Wardrobe photos: Photos of clothing and outfits you add to your digital wardrobe.
- Face and body photos (optional): If you choose to set up a personalized try-on avatar, you may provide a selfie and/or a full-body photo. These images are used to create your avatar and to generate virtual try-on images of you wearing outfits. See Section 3 for how this sensitive data is handled.
- Wardrobe details: Information you enter about your items — categories, colors, brands, sizes, materials, and notes.
- Chat conversations: Messages and prompts you send to the AI stylist.
- Style preferences: Your Style DNA quiz answers, favorite colors, preferred styles, and other personalization choices.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device & diagnostics: Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash diagnostics (stack traces, error messages) to keep the App stable.
- Usage analytics: In-app events (for example, screens viewed and features used) to understand how the App is used and improve it. See Section 4.
- Location (optional): With your permission, we use your device location to fetch local weather for weather-appropriate outfit suggestions. See Section 3 for what is shared.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
- Cloud account: Your wardrobe, outfits, packing lists, style preferences, avatar data, and chat history are stored in your secure drobe account so they sync across your devices and aren't lost if you change phones. Storage and authentication are provided by Supabase.
- On-device cache: A copy of your data is also kept on your device so the App works quickly and offline. drobe is built "local-first" — it stays usable offline and syncs when you reconnect.
- Photos: Images you upload are kept in private cloud storage, accessible only through your authenticated account.
3. AI Features & Third-Party Data Sharing
drobe uses artificial intelligence to tag items, analyze outfits, generate styling advice, and create virtual try-on images. By using these AI-powered features, you consent to the relevant images and details being sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini and Replicate) to deliver that feature. For the more sensitive flows — a selfie for color analysis, or face and body photos for a custom try-on avatar — we show an in-app notice before that image is sent, and those features are optional. You can use wardrobe management, outfits, and packing lists without using any AI features.
When you use AI features, data is shared as follows:
Google Gemini (via our secure server)
- What: Your chat messages and wardrobe details; photos of your clothing and outfits; and, only if you set up a custom try-on avatar, your face and body photos.
- Why: To generate outfit recommendations and style advice, automatically tag and validate item photos, analyze outfits, and generate virtual try-on images.
- Retention: Requests are processed in real time through the Google Gemini API. See Google's API terms and Privacy Policy.
Replicate (via our secure server)
- What: If you enable a custom avatar, your selfie and a generated try-on image are sent for face matching. Clothing photos may also be sent for background removal when on-device processing is unavailable.
- Why: To match your likeness on virtual try-on images and to remove image backgrounds.
- Retention: Images are processed on demand and not retained by us for this purpose. See Replicate's Privacy Policy.
OpenWeatherMap
- What: Your approximate device coordinates (low accuracy).
- Why: To fetch current weather for weather-appropriate outfit suggestions.
- Retention: Used for a single weather lookup and not stored by us. See OpenWeatherMap's Privacy Policy.
Face & Body Images (Sensitive Data)
Setting up a personalized try-on avatar is optional. If you choose to, the face and body photos you provide are used solely to create your avatar and to generate try-on images of you. They are processed by Google Gemini and Replicate as described above and stored in your private account. We do not use them to identify you elsewhere, build a biometric identity profile, or share them for advertising. You can delete your avatar at any time, and deleting your account removes them entirely (see Section 7).
AI-Generated Images
Virtual try-on images are generated by AI and are visualizations, not photographs. They may not accurately represent real products, fit, or appearance.
Controlling AI data sharing: AI processing only happens when you choose to use an AI-powered feature, so you can stop sharing data with our AI providers at any time by not using those features. The custom try-on avatar is optional and can be deleted at any time, and deleting your account removes your data entirely (see Section 7).
4. Analytics & Diagnostics
- PostHog (product analytics): We use PostHog to collect in-app event analytics — such as which features are used and how people move through the App — to improve it. Session replay is disabled; we do not record your screen. Analytics events do not include your photos or chat content. PostHog Privacy Policy.
- Crash diagnostics: Basic crash and error data to diagnose and fix problems.
5. Other Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Authentication, database, and secure storage for your account and content. Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase validation. Receives an account identifier and subscription status — not your wardrobe data. Privacy Policy.
- Google Custom Search: If you search for clothing products to add to your wardrobe, your search query is sent to Google Custom Search to return product images. Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store: Payment processing for subscriptions, handled entirely by Apple.
6. How We Use Your Information
- Create and secure your account and sync your data across devices
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Tag and process photos and generate AI styling advice and virtual try-on images
- Provide weather-appropriate suggestions based on your location
- Process subscription purchases via Apple and RevenueCat
- Understand usage through analytics and diagnose technical issues
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use your face, body, or wardrobe images to train third-party AI models.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- While your account is active, we retain your data so the App works across your devices.
- Delete your account: In the App, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data — wardrobe items, photos, avatar (including any face and body images), outfits, packing lists, chat history, and preferences — from our servers.
- Subscriptions: Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Subscription records are held by Apple and RevenueCat.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- Access & portability: Your data is available to you in the App.
- Deletion: Use Settings → Delete Account, or contact us.
- AI data sharing: AI features only process data when you use them, so you can stop sharing with our AI providers by not using those features; delete a custom avatar or your account to remove stored data.
- Location, camera & photos: Grant or revoke these permissions in your device Settings.
To exercise any right, contact us at BlueSkyDev.123@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
drobe is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data is shared with the service providers described above solely to provide the App's core functionality.
11. International Users
drobe is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data as described in this policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
